Do you belong to an organisation that is DEFCOM accredited?
DEFCOM has agreements with a number of organisations, government departments, unions and companies that are affiliated with Police, Fire, Ambulance, Health, SES and Rescue.
DEFCOM provides free membership to the employees and volunteers of those organisations. Accreditation is a valuable asset and the total number of organisations provided free memberships is limited.
Who is accredited?
So even though you may work in one of these industries that doesn't mean that your organisation has accreditation.
You first need to confirm that your organisation has DEFCOM accreditation.
DIRECTORY ISSUE
Protectors organisations distribute to members

In January/February each year the annual directory is delivered to all DEFCOM accredited organisations for internal distribution.

In most cases the various HR/Pay/Admin staff of each organisation handle the distribution. It is their job to deliver DEFCOM material to their staff.
Method of Delivery

The method of delivery to employees and volunteers will vary depending upon the capabilities of the organisation.

Some have the abilitiy to mail the directory (ie. QLD Police), others will simply hand them out at your place or work or training centre.

You should all receive your directory by the end of FEB 2011 - please contact us DEFCOM on 07 3879 0911 if you do NOT receive the 2011 Directory. We will advise you of the contact person at your work place who is distributing copies for us.
CARD ISSUE
How to start using your card
There is no activation process - to start using the card simply personalise it on the reverse side:
- Print your NAME in the name field
- SIGN the card in the signature panel

Your partner or spouse can sign in the spouse signature panel
NB. This enables them to share your card and shop on their own

CARD EXPIRY
Light-weight card issued with 2011 DEFCOM Directory

Are you a Protectors member that had a card expiring in MAR 2009?

A new light-weight card has been provided for all Protectors members with the issue of the 2011 Directory.

Just tear the card off from the front cover and personalise and sign the reverse side prior to use - no other "Activation" is required.

When you receive your new card you should destroy your own one.

Call DEFCOM on 07 3879 0911 if you not received your 2011 Directory.
LOST OR DAMAGED CARD
Do you need a new card because yours is lost or damaged?

Please contact DEFCOM on 07 3879 0911 and we will provide you with the HR/ADMIN person and contact telephone number for your organisation.

You then contact this person and request a replacement card. They will immediately reissue you with a new card on our behalf.
